Forward.Vision.® Announces Exciting New EVS Systems for General Aviation and Strategic Alliance with Max-Viz®
Forward. Vision.®, the number one provider of navigational forward looking infrared systems to the general aviation fleet, is pleased to announce a new strategic relationship with Max-Viz®. Max-Viz is the number one provider of these Enhanced Vision Systems (EVS) for business aviation fixed and rotary wing aircraft. This relationship creates a new opportunity for all of aviation to improve flight safety by providing a conduit for advanced EVS technologies to reach every cockpit. "Forward. Vision. is excited about this strategic alliance with Max-Viz, the EVS industry leader, and looking forward to working with Max-Viz to bring the advantages of the latest technology in EVS to the general aviation fleet" said Patrick Farrell, President of Forward. Vision.
Both Forward. Vision. and Max-Viz share a common view of the future for these technologies and their integration into aviation. The competencies that both companies have developed in this industry have been built on actual experience in flight operations application of the technology over time and are based upon integrity, respect and an unabashed enthusiasm for improving safety for all of aviation. Over 80 Forward. Vision. Systems and 160 Max-Viz systems are flying worldwide.
"We at Max-Viz are looking forward to combining our experience in EVS and it’s application to Business Jet and rotary wing aviation with Forward. Vision.’s experience in the general aviation market. Together we will be well positioned to better serve the general aviation market than individually" said Jim Tuttle, President and CEO of Max-Viz.
Along with this exciting strategic alliance, we are pleased to announce a spectacular product, the EVS-100 that utilizes the latest EVS technology developed for the business jet market, now appropriately repackaged and being made available for general aviation. This latest generation EVS system weighs less than 1.5 lbs, is sunlight safe and designed to be easily upgradeable as this technology continues to improve. The EVS-100 is designed to be easily integrated with glass panel LCD displays and is much smaller than our previous system. In fact, our new system is small enough to mount like an antenna, on a fuselage and even behind a prop. The EVS-100 will be debuted at Sun N Fun, 2007. The EVS-100, based on a long wave infrared sensor, features digital zoom and will retail for $14,995 The Forward. Vision. team will be demonstrating this EVS-100 enhanced vision system by appointment throughout Sun N Fun and will be taking orders for the non-certified systems for delivery at Air Venture 2007 in Oshkosh, WI.
About the companies:
Forward. Vision. Continues as the industry leader in the integration of affordable EVS technology into the general aviation cockpit. They have successfully integrated this technology into both the Certified Experimental marketplace as well as Standard certificated aircraft. These systems help to preventing night spatial disorientation, inadvertent entry into IMC when VFR, CFIT, midairs, runway incursions and on airport accidents. Forward. Vision. remains committed to improving aviation safety as their number one goal.
"See What You’ve Been Missing!"
™Max-Viz designs and markets the smallest, most reliable and affordable Enhanced Vision Systems for aircraft. The systems use real-time infrared sensors, signal processing, and a cockpit display to provide flight crews with actual images of terrain, runways, taxiways, aircraft and other potential obstacles during poor visibility conditions such as light fog, haze, smoke, precipitation and darkness. Max-Viz EVS turns night into day.
