Aviation Announce Cirrus STC
|
Russell PA. and Anchorage Alaska:
Patrick Farrell, CEO of
Forward Vision. and Cary Foster, President of
One Sky Aviation, are pleased to announce the
STC (#SA02329AK) award for installation of the
EVS-100 infrared sensor on the Cirrus SR-20 / 22
aircraft. After a number of weather delays, the
flight
test was conducted by the
Anchorage ACO with exceptional results. The
Forward.Vision.
EVS-100,
powered by Max-Viz, is the latest
generation EVS technology specifically designed for
the
General Aviation market. The EVS-100 is a low
cost, non-cryogenically cooled Enhanced Vision
System ( EVS) for the OEM and retro fit markets. The
Cirrus STC program is the first in a series of
general aviation airframes that is under
development for FAA approval. The EVS-100 offers the
latest technology in Long-Wave Infrared ( LWIR)
sensing, is sunlight safe and has excellent
resolution in a grey scale presentation format.
This lightweight self-contained and ready to mount
system is effectively operated both day and night
and is designed to be upgradeable. Orders are being
accepted now for complete STC kits and EVS-100
systems. The price of the entire kit is $17,500 MSRP
(including the sensor).
Cary Foster, spearheading
this robust project, couldn't have been more pleased
with the overall timeline. "With weather delays so
prevalent in the Anchorage area this time of year,
our test flight timeline was slid for nearly a
month. We obviously would have liked to have
completed this project so installation kits could
have been available for the holiday buyers" Foster
states. Patrick Farrell states "with this STC, we
will cooperatively be able to provide an affordable
(and STC certified) EVS system to the
general aviation community that will bring an
enhanced level of situational awareness and
ultimately flight safety to the cockpit of Cirrus
aftermarket aircraft.

inadvertent entry into IMC when VFR, CFIT, midairs,
runway incursions and on airport accidents.

Max-Viz,
Inc remain committed to improving
aviation safety as their number one goal.
